So I don't know the technical age when a baby is no longer a baby but rather a toddler, but I'm pretty sure Alex has crossed that line! At 14 months he became a full time walker (more like a runner!) and we are always chasing after him! I love this new stage that he is in, so curious of everything (even more than before!), able to explore things, trying to talk and have us understand him. It's so great!! I always thought that I liked the baby BABY stage when they can't talk, walk, or crawl but now that Alex is older I totally appreciate this stage more then I ever thought I would!!
I love playing with him and we try to incorporate outside play time every day. Sometimes that means going to the park down the street (or down the road if we feel like swinging!) and sometimes that just means taking a few toys out to the driveway and messing around! Sometimes that doesn't do it so we take a walk around the block. I just can't believe how AWESOME this is!! I never thought I would enjoy it THIS much! But I love it more and more every single day! I am even more excited for what the future holds for our little family and all the new things we will experience. Having him in our lives is the greatest blessing we could have ever asked for!
Another great blessing we have is our family. We are so grateful to have our families so close by! He loves to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house and giving Otis a snack (or two!), and at Grandma and Grandad's house he loves to climb the stairs to see the fish, laugh with Aunt Vicki, and carry around his walking stick! It's certainly nice to have so many family members around to watch him when there is a need! And he is blessed with such awesome Aunt's & Uncle's and 2 cousins (so far!)! As much as I sometimes wish we could move away from AZ, I simply can't see us ever doing something like that and moving away from our wonderful families! Love you all!!
