My little man is getting ready to full on talk. He is babbling all.the.time! It's so cute when he clearly is trying to say something very complex to me as he uses inflection and hand gestures to get his point across. Too bad I don't understand but a few words of what he is trying to tell me! Normally I follow up with an, "Oh yeah?" or "Really?" and to that he says "Yeah". hehe but he is starting to put some sentences together! He says "love you" and just the other day as he was waking up, I had him on the changing table and Tom walked in. Alex immediately outreached his arms and said "Hug?" Of course Tom walked over to hug him and as Alex wrapped his chubby little arms around his Daddy's head he said "my daddy" in the most loving, tender voice ever! This was repeated about 10 times over, how sweet is my little lovin' man!! He's also trying to say "where is it?" & "what's that?".
His newest word is "no!" and his most favorite word at the moment is apple. He is always looking for apples everywhere we are. Everytime we pass an Applebee's I hear "aw-pull" over and over and over again until I acknowledge that yes, that was indeed an apple he saw! It may be his favorite word to say, but it may possibly be my most favorite word to hear him say! Tomatoes and often red peppers are labeled as apples and no matter how many times I tell him it is NOT an apple, he just looks up at me, points to it and says "aw-pull!".
I love this stage that he's in where he can truly communicate with me and I look forward to having long conversations with him!
