Alex really is turning into such a big man! He's doing more things everyday that makes me stop and think "when did you get so big?!". When I want him to get on the couch to sit by me, I usually pat it with my hand a couple times to signal that I want him to sit there. Now, whenever he's going to sit by me he pauses and pats the couch a few times before climbing up! How cute!
Another thing he learned to say which is suuuper cute is "pop"! But he doesn't say it like that, he says it in the silly little toddler voice and way that makes it oh so super cute! He learned this because I was teaching him that when waffles or toast go into the toaster we have to wait til they go POP and once they go POP then, and only then can we eat them! Now when I ask if he wants a snack he says "pop"! I'll have to capture it on video to show you all (and keep for memory's sake) how dang cute it is!
Tonight we went for storytime and checked out his first books from the library! We checked out Police Officers On Patrol (how could I resist once I saw it!?), Maisy's big book of words, and Bumble bugs & Elephants (I don't recommend it, it was pretty stupid!). He really enjoyed looking at these new books and I think I will enjoy reading to him MUCH more if I don't have to read the same books over and over! So we will be back once a week or so to exchange our books!
